Excellent, John. After your comment on my poem, I thought that I'd look yours up - glad that I did. As I read this, I was reminded of a childhood friend who died tragically a day before we were to start 8th grade. Sometimes pictures hold life and hope and other times... such pain. I really liked the rhythm and the rhyme scheme that you used throughout this poem, made it sort of lyrical. Best wishes
