It’s true that love, once you have known its power
Can reach you even in your darkest hour
And all the cares that you have thought too much
Can vanish with a simple loving touch.
How blest I am, that I can ever say
That just this kind of love has come my way-
To teach me there is nothing that I lack
That matters, and I got to give it back.
For love is such that giving is receiving,
And doubts can quickly turn in to believing,
And just when you may think you’ve reached the end
It all can turn around with just a friend.
A friend that loves you just for who you are,
There is no greater gift on earth by far.
I am so humbled that such came to me,
And that’s the kind of friend I want to be.
My grateful heart may burst from all the grace
Of simple love that’s shining from your face,
It’s true , there’s nothing that I would not do
To show you how much love I have for you.
