On Top

There will be times, no matter what life does
I feel like I’m on top of it because
The woman I most love is kind to me,
And with such love, a source of ecstasy.

Such is the miracle that love can bring-
That one like her can be my everything,
And wipe away a lifetime filled with tears
Each time that chosen name of hers appears.

It’s her alone inside my buddy list,
And only her that I can not resist-
And when she’s there and says that I can call,
I feel like I can rise above it all.

And rise I do, in all the best of ways.
With pounding heart I live for just those days
When she and I can live like dreams are true
And be a new creation when we’re through.

After those calls, when all is said and done
I feel as if I am the only one
On top of all the world- I own the peak
Because I’ve found the love that we all seek.
