We say I’m in your pocket
And it’s good so we don’t knock it,
Perhaps it means that you’re a kangaroo.
And I must be your joey
Close to you and feeling glowy,
Sure thing I’ll always be in love with you.
I know it’s quite a leap
But we have something we will keep,
If only in our dreams at least for now.
So I will stay inside
And ever grateful for the ride,
But wishing I could love you more somehow.
The future so uncertain
Hidden well behind some curtain-
I wish that it would part and let me see
If you and I will kiss
And finish out our lives in bliss-
It is my dream for you to live with me.
Although we have to struggle
In your pocket I will snuggle,
And every day I’ll send my love your way,
No matter where you’re leaping
I just thank you so for keeping
A pocketful of love to know someday.
