every twist of that knife,
sends shivers down my spine,
your love vacant kills me.

when did you leave,
was it days, months or years
before you walked out of my life?

I hear the sound of a car,
and think you have come back,
only to be crashed into reality.

your leaving has left a void
as big as a cavern in the ground,
vacant, dormant and dark.

somehow you have indelibly
left a mark on my soul,
that will not be erased.

time nor lovers
have removed your memory,
I wish you were dead,

it would be easier to get over you,
torment cuts like a knife,
over and over again.

Moments blurred into each other after getting to an unchanging ritual of living--a living where truth and fiction are not distinguishable any longer. So many days feel the same as the others, and lack the smallest positive change. The seriousness of the pain caused by such a dreadful situation is worth the fight to escape from. I hope you have, and believe you will be just fine without it, and without whomever made you suffer this. This is another clear and expressive writing--you put it all up front to see, easily. Thanks for sharing your feelings and experiences, Ragno Donna. Be better, ya. Enjoy creating, always

Again, the strength of expression is undeniable, Ragno, and the fact that you share has to be beneficial, a catharsis.

I've had similar situations many times over in my life. Someone sat me down once and asked:" what is the common denominator in all of your relationship problems?" After pondering this, I finally realized the common denominator in all my problems, be they relationship or otherwise, was me. After I took a look at myself (not always easy, I know), I began to accept that I have a part to play in everything that happens to me. Once I know that I have a part, I then can focus on what needs to change (me)and that my own resentments and misery derive from my own reluctance to let them go. If I change one thing about me, everything changes. Does this make any sense? I hope it helps. Powerful writing. I totally connect into the feelings. And, despite the above, still encounter them. I just try and utilize different tools now. Writing definitely helps exorcise those demons. Take care.

I am sorry for the pain you have. I can relate. But I always think I'll see you in my dreams. And your lover man no matter who he is will be there for you. BTW, I like the way you write. It is very easy to follow.

Ciao

The stabbing pain felt when you have had your whole universe yanked out from under you is enough to send you into madness, and does from time to time. To bury yourself in rebounding sexual partners and booze, drugs, whatever, never mends the hurt. But somewhere at a point in time the urge to "get on with your life" takes precedent and true healing then commences. Great writing, conveying the absolute horror that can befall us if our love is rebuked.

Again, the sentiments and emotions that you share within your verses are very familiar to me, Ragno. Thank you. Love and best wishes to you,

Regis
