Wind Will Blow

Thoughts and dreams fade in the night,

lost from sight in the depth of the dark,

dawn’s new beginning sets things right,

bringing another chance for a new start.

Nothing last within this world we live,

happiness not found in riches and gold,

true treasures only exist in what we give,

clashing forces of the meek and the bold.

The complexity of living is all around,

casting minds into a state of confusion,

it’s in a noise or there without a sound,

sometimes real other times an illusion.

We were never meant to understand it all,

traveling life’s hallways to the open door,

be thankful if you don’t stumble and fall,

when your down you end up on the floor.

A journey through the corridors of the mind,

venturing to seek that which you do not know,

often we’re left disillusioned, lost in time,

not finding the answers, the wind will blow.

Sam, one thing for sure, our journey's in this life teach us many things. No, we can't understand life, all we can do is live it and put our trust in someone who is Greater. I like your voice in this piece...it is a voice questioning but one who knows the way.

Future: The Spiritual Story of Humanity by Glenn Martin

Histories of the world are generally written to either celebrate technology and science, or to herald doom. My book examines the path of the spirit in the onward rush.
