Tomorrow’s Song
Down the dark corridor of endless time,
lies the waste land of yesterday’s past,
thoughts and desires linger in the mind,
no matter where we go they seem to last.
Restless spirits roam within the night,
searching for answers to stories not told,
longing for the comfort found in the light,
residing in a world of greed ever so bold.
Upon the stonewall lonely shadows dance,
trapped in the mystical fog filling the air,
while a herd of wild horses begin to prance,
sights without any color in dreams we share.
Sleep brings a plateau for the living and dead,
where thoughts rage without answers known,
love, hate, joys and sadness all become wed,
searching to find our way, for it’s never shown.
Casting ripples in the blue water ever so deep,
struggling to survive, yet drowning in sorrow,
so deprived of the rest of a good night’s sleep,
knowing you’ll have to face another tomorrow.
