Called Earth


Gazing upon the starlit sky,
such vast openness of space,
wondering just how and why,
life moves at such a fast pace.

A translucent blend of light,
twinkling in a reflective glow,
blending shaded colors bright,
core of nature’s harmonic flow.

Universal perspective in view,
realizing just how small we are,
we reach a plateau that is new,
extending both near and so far.

Cosmos beholds body and soul,
that is the spirit of you and me,
beginning, the end, nature’s toll,
the mysteries that we can not see.

Comprehension beyond our mind,
simple concepts lost since our birth,
lingering in the corridors of time,
never grasping the wonders of earth.
