Another of my "Dream" poems that came to me and later made sense. This and other works only occurred over a period of some six months after I moved into my new home as "Lynne".Have I written any since? Not a word! This one will appear in "Diaries of a Transfemale" Book 2 soon to be published.
TWO WORLDS APART
My family, I know very well,
My Son, and Daughters (two).
Their ins and outs.
Their ups and downs.
Their joys and sorrows too.
I cared for them in many ways.
They did not want for much.
Then thro' the passing years
they went their different ways.
I myself found life anew in an
unexpected way!
My family know me NOT AT ALL!
We haven't even met.
They cannot, or they will not
come to terms, and do not understand.
That Dad as was, is now called Lynne
And that will never change.
That they cannot comprehend
I well can understand.
But time and our creator
will heal their troubled minds
and in the end all will be well.
That's the way of all Mankind.
If only our truths could be nurtured--even half as much as those false ideals projected upon us all--what a different world this would be! Touching work.
You are you and if your children choose to not accept you then they have to deal with it within themselves. You are a strong Lady keep doing what you have to do for you.

It's always difficult to understand that of which we know nothing. Only the willingness to educate ourselves can change that. I pray that time heals the wounds for you and your children.
Truthfully, how many people ever REALLY understand each other? They will have to learn to deal with your sex change whether they like the idea or not. Nobody should be able to dictate how other people live their lives, at least not in a free society. Congratulations on doing what you felt you had to do.
The experience of a young adult trying to figure out what they want to do for employment or education can be overwhelming. My book will give them insight to what it means to be a carpenter. And the progress unions have made in discrimination.
