I have often (in Depressive Mode) thought about how those
in the grave no longer have to bow to demands.
But loving life as I do, I quickly put the thought out of my mind.
I find this a fascinating write, Zenith, and one which bounces around many ideas like the prism you suggest! To me, hopelessness equates with all the demands that are overpowering; but the altruism that freely gives is releasing - like life beyond the mirrors. Also, that kindnesses shown are never lost and have eternal worth. Thank you for this: much said in a few expertly penned lines. KB
