Alone Again~~~

When love is good, it's very good. Choose the wrong mate and hell, you'll feel...

Another night
alone again
with bated breath...
she waits for him,
jumbled thoughts
play eerie tunes
awaiting,
angry
intoxicated
moods...

Minutes last
so very
long...
waiting
for the
one you
love...

Is this love,
that traps
her here...
this life
of angst
mingled
with fear...

This love
he slaps
upon her face...
so very
confused
she hesitates...

Distasteful words,
spit from
his lips...
his lips,
no longer
fit to kiss...

Cringing from,
his lustful touch...
so rough
so crude
she gives,
it up...

Memories of passionate,
love draws tears...
he breaks
the trance,
your my
recepticle...Dear...

Who is this man,
she held so dear...
his essence of love,
no longer near...
demon eyes
empty stares...

Another night,
alone again...
with bated breath,
she runs from him...
free at last,
no more fear...

Alone...
at peace,
a life
to
start
again...

Powerful and chilling creation. It's better to be alone than to be subjected to abuse. Well done.

Those are such painful moments. The tension so thick you could cut it with a knife. A most insightful write!!!!

Brilliant storytelling, Zenith! This is both a romantic cautionary tale and a heart-tugging diagram of the collapse of romantic intimacy! Wonderful, wonderful write!
