Dedicated to Katy and her son
The child sits alone Haunting, hungry eyes The plea... Feed me Loneliness is her mantra Other children play She waits On the sidelines Yearning to join She fears their rejection It has happened before... Yearning Wanting Needing And finally Finally... Receiving Only... The fulfillment Was ripped from Her clutching hands She tried frantically To snatch it back But acceptance Cannot be demanded... Now she sighs Waiting for Someone To show her Kindness Once More
