King or fool?

To listen to the right thoughts that flow into the mind is a habit that must be cultivated

Inside everyman there is a king and a fool

Thoughts in your mind determine which one will rule

The attitudes and actions you embrace in this life

The fool runs on emotions, his heart filled with strife

The king runs on logic and seeks to achieve

To get better every day, from the fool he must leave

The fool must take in order to live

The king does the opposite, to live is to give

Inside every man there is a king and a fool

The thoughts in your mind determine which one will rule

The fool is alive and wants to be in control

To destroy your character and eliminate your goal

There is also the king; he does not fight for control

To develop your character, to achieve your goal

He says in a whisper that now is the time

A wonderful poem with a great lesson. Unfortunately, throughout history, most kings have been vicious tyrants. Unfortunately, they kept their countrymen in the dark through illiteracy and wrote all those glorious stories about their goodwill and accomplishments rather than the atrocities they committed to remain king.
