Poem Artwork

I happened to be carousin about

Last St. Patty’s Day,

When I stumbled upon,

Two sisters in dismay.

They were livin in a dumpster,

Behind an old printin place.

They were hungry and desperate,

Had green ink all over the face.

So I eventually brought them home,
After explainin to the wife,
That these two Irish lassies,
Needed a little help in life.

Well, Lo and Behold, and Drats,

The mischievous little Patty lass,

Never told me she was pregnant,

Begorah! Can You Imagine That?

Well now I am a Grandpa,

And me wife will have a fit,

Lordy, oh, sweet Lordy,

Do I ever feel like the twit!

 If anyone knows anyone,

Who needs a little kitten in their life,

Please give me a jingle, very soon,

Or there’ll be no livin with my wife.

And I really cannot wait,

Until Grandma gets home tonight,

This should be somethin to see,

If I already haven't taken flight!

Five black and white kitties.

Mother, babies, and Auntie Patches

Are all doing well.

Maybe I'll go round up their Dad,

When Grandma gets home.

PS My two dogs are now pouting.

They are currently outnumbered - 6-1.

I sense a new Canine-Feline War will soon erupt.

Hey, do you have the same book I do: "Pussycats" by Hulton Getty?
That quotation is in there. How about this one, "No matter how much cats fight, there always seem to be plenty of kittens."--Abraham Lincoln. I am in the market for a little kitten--probably gonna go pick one out this weekend. Congrats on becoming a Grandpa. I have a feeling it isn't the first time. Your wife should be used to this by now--LOL!

Howdy, Gramps! So you're going to look for "pops" eh? Em, you, of course, know that each kitty can have a different father in the same litter, yes? (look who I'm educatin'.. hehe). BUT.. ALL black and white? Hmmmm... veeeeeery interesting! Rebecca's gonna kill ya! Wanna sleep in my hall closet til she settles down? (grin) You are truly a menagerie! Hope the litter lasts! (Egads!) katy xox.

p.s. Nonsense aside: You make being human a glorious thing, by your example.

More like dead meat!!! You’re really in a lot of trouble now, EL Captain!!! Best thing to do in this situation is say absolutely nothing!!! Have a nice warm bath ready and tell Grandma you’ll her favorite meal ready as soon as she gets out of the tub!!! Just pretend you do not know anything…they think we don’t know anything anyways…lol. After the meal and all the dishes are put away, just tell her you’ll never believe what happened… You must have left the basement door open and look what the cat dragged in…lol. Good write!!! Hope you have a place to sleep later on…lol. Preferably inside the home…lol.
