Poem Artwork

Please Read Andy Turner’s Poem,

Is This the End of America,

As the Human World Knew It?

“Two-legged creatures we are supposed to love,

As ourselves.  The-four legged are very important.

But six-legged creatures are Nature’s masterpiece.”

                                                  MOD Squad Link

We interrupt the regularly scheduled segment

Of The Adventures of Mr. Piddles,

For This Special Report.

This Just In from the London Times,

Lady Mary Margaret McFiddles Reporting:

SPLAT

Has issued a false statement

About rats and spiders eating people in America.

Please do not panic.

There is no truth to this rumor.

It is pure fabrication

On the part of Mr. A. J. Turnaround,

SPLAT President.

Please do not be alarmed.

It appears that Mr. Turnaround

Became extremely distraught

When he heard BUG

Had recruited Flower Child George

And

Had received a $10 Million donation.

Along with the false statement,

Mr. Turnaround has been accused

Of doctoring photographs.

These doctored photos

Give the impression

That Loyal BUG members

Have defected to SPLAT.

This reporter managed to get

An Exclusive Interview

With Flower Child George

On his Bugmobile radio.

“Flower Child George, is there any truth to any of this?”

“Absolutely not, Lady McFiddles.

I Love BUG!”

“Can you put Julie on the line?”

“I’m afraid not.  We’re rushing a family

Of injured centipedes to the hospital now.

Terrible tragedy. Tiny legs scattered

All over the highway.

She’s giving them CPR now.

“Have to run.  Bye!”

You heard it yourselves,

Ladies and Gentlemen.

There is no truth to any of this.

Mr. Turnaround is wanted for questioning

By the MOD Squad at this time.

And, an elaborate trap has already been set,

To capture him.

Special Undercover Operative LINK

Has been pretending to be a SPLAT Sympathizer,

And it is believed that A.J. Turnaround

Is now on his way to a pub,

To meet, who he believes

Is a SPLAT ally.

Please Stay Tuned

For Further Developments.

To Be Continued…

Looks like things are really heating up now.

False Press Releases by SPLAT!

How low can they go?

And the MOD Squad sure is coming in handy these days.

Mr. Piddles must be – a genius.

Please Stay Tuned.

By all means bury your head in the sand. Would SPLAT play dirty?

SPLAT, are sueing for 10 million dollars.

And...uh-oh.... looks like Flower Child has been at the hookah again - watch out, Julie... he's homing in for some CPR himself...!!! Suspense is thrilling, thankyou. Kate xx

Sorry.. forgive me... one moment... I'm trying to visualize fair Julie giving CPR to a bunch of legless centipedes, WITHOUT SWALLOWING THEM! Good grief! (Do they have little prosthetic legs for centipedes?) I see Link is in rare form, spouting memorable quotes, no doubt having a flashback to the years he was tutored by Little Eddie K, the well-known Pulitzer winner for his "How I Saved The World Of Bugs" single-handedly, mostly because people were sick of being bitten in their beds! Oops! One would think I was crossing over to the "other side"... Nah! I love bugs.. I love bugs.. I love bugs... (shhhhh.. wait 'til he isn't looking... SPLAT!) Got 'him! JUST KIDDING! You guys are my cup'o tea, the pair of ya! (grin) katy xox.

As The World Turns,
so are the days of SPLAT's lives.

The General Hospital has been busy,
gathering legs that crawl.

What crawls first?
Who's on second?
What is his name on third?

Stay tuned...
As the Mod Squad continues in
Days of Our Lives.
