Inspired By, and Dedicated To,
My Very Good Friend and AD Member,
Andy James Turner
“Oh I believe there are angels among us
Sent down to us from somewhere up above,
They come to you and me in our darkest hours
To show us how to live, to teach us how to give,
And to guide us with the light of love”
Alabama,
Angels Among Us
I slowly walked down the street that extremely cold day
With a tattered old suitcase filled with painful memories
Now sadly convinced deep in my pained heart and soul
That misery and loneliness would now accompany me
I had very recently lost a child who had never been born
My wife my home and most of my earthly possessions
And as I sadly shuffled along that cold cruel big city street
I knew that agonizing regret would now be my sole obsession
But several months later in a very frigid big city winter
Needy and orphaned animals began appearing at my door
Somehow they must have sensed that I was the one in need
And I wasn’t plagued with bitterness or loneliness any more
Then well over ten years later in my now new big city existence
Another extremely loving and compassionate soul entered my life
And she miraculously managed to fill that very last hole in my heart
At last I had finally found my true soul mate and my very loving wife
Since then I’ve learned that time good friendship and true love
Can very often mend these extremely agonizing holes in our hearts
If only we have the patience the understanding and the right fortitude
To let earth’s angels weave their magic and provide us with brand new starts
“They wear so many faces,
And show up in the strangest places,
To grace us with their mercy,
In our greatest time of need”
Andy, you will be reunited with your son
One gloriously bright and sunny future day
But you have to have faith, and believe in earth’s angels,
And until that day, with you, all of us will continue to pray
splendid write!
Peace and love, Carole
Paul;-)
This is a very thoughtful write.
Best wishes
A gut wrenching, powerfully moving tribute of support for our own dear Andy. I add my prayers to all here that Andy, who loves his boy, will be reunited with his son.
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. :( *tears*
You did it again--made me cry!
It's his summer holidays, and looking through old photos slammed it home, another year, of not seeing or hearing from him.
How true is your bio here. It is weird how as soon as I posted the poem feelings of the past few weeks subsided. One hates to feel like a whinger or wimp, but it is true a problem/challenge shared.....
Thanks buddy boy, and all the others who have given support.
We all have our trials, and moments of that human condition called weakness.
Angels Den..lol
This piece has moved me beyond words.
However, I've taken a moment as this
piece you've masterly created with it's rich
real honesty of experience and intense spiritual
lesson of faith deserves the best review.
Today is exactly two since I lost my older sister
'Sylvia'. She helped raise me and after many of
life's severe tribulations ; She remained the iron
source of purity and courage and strength.
She, as no one is perfect, but she was the best for me.
She taught me many things and one was the reality of
'Eathly Angels',
Thanks for sharing this beautiful expression!
PEACEFUL LIFE WITH JOY AND FULFILLMENT',
