Been Away for a Few Days,

And Just Found Quite a Surprise

A package very recently arrived

At the Pink Flamingo Sanctuary

Since sent by my other brother Ed

I paused and was just a wee bit wary

When the two of us were very mischievous boys

We always loved to play pranks on each other

Would this package now soon explode in my face

After all it was sent by old Ed Matlack my brother

But after I finally mustered the courage to open it

I soon found some very delightful presents inside

Numerous tiny pink flamingoes with tiny hats on

Hot jalapeno sauce and a fart doll – I almost cried

Such very wonderful presents from the other Ed

Such very sentimental thoughts from my brother

Thanks so very much you lovable old Jersey Devil

Now I can’t wait to brag about this to dear old mother

The tiny pink flamingoes are proudly displayed on our mantle

The very hot sauce is now being enjoyed with each of our meals

And I really have to say that the fart doll is a huge hit in our home

Every time we press that little button and it squirts - one of us squeals

“People seem to get very nostalgic,

 About a lot of things they weren't so crazy about,

The first time around!”
