Entitled – ‘Happy Mother’s Day, Mrs. Elephant’

A place called Borneo is the world's third-largest island

Covering some 288,000 square miles in the South China Sea

It straddles the equator and it receives a great deal of rainfall

Its climate and its isolation have fostered an incredible variety

Thousands of earth species live here in Borneo

Many of them are still found on Earth only here

It is a place that we should all want to help protect

It’s a place future generations will want to hold dear

But modern day deforestation is taking a heavy toll

Making many of its creatures and plants even more rare

Today far too many of earth’s truly unique animal habitats

Have been callously destroyed - and are no longer out there

It’s also the home of a creature few have seen

That lives deep in the island jungles of Borneo

Less than fifty of them are known to exist today

A rarely seen subspecies of the Sumatran Rhino

These extremely rare rhinos live only in the dense forests of Sabah

In an extremely isolated area known today as The Heart of Borneo

A cleverly hidden camera placed here by The World Wildlife Fund
