Adrift now for days, in these shark infested waters,

Then a very familiar voice on my old ship’s radio;

“This is The Jersey Devil, Calling Pee Wee’s Ark,

What a pleasant surprise finding you out here, Bro!”

“Can that really be you, my Big Brother Ed?

I thought you were washed out to sea in the flood;

Don’t tell me you resurrected our childhood ship,

I thought it was burned down, that day in the mud.”

“HO, HO, HO, My Little Pee Wee Brother,

I re-built our Pirate Ship, many years ago;

Knowing that one day, when the time was right,

Pillaging out on the High Seas, again I would go!”

“But where are you heading to now, Jersey Devil Ed?

I can find no land, but a tiny island for my Sanctuary.”

“Uh, I think you mean MY tiny island, Little Pee Wee Ed,

I’m claiming it for myself, now don’t be so danged contrary.”

“But Big Brother Ed, I need this land for the animals,

Please re-consider, and don’t be such a Devilish Chump.”

“HO, HO, HO, Little Pee Wee Ed, you’ll have to find another,

I’ve already made my Devil’s Deal, with my pal, Donald Trump!”

Alas, the die has been cast, centuries in the making,

And I very sadly knew this day was coming, after all;

Will this tiny oasis in the middle of these expanding seas,

Be an Animal Sanctuary, or Big Ed’s Casino and Bingo Hall?

Here we are, both born to be Eds,
Yet brothers, in this, our darkest hour;
Here we now belong, battling each other,
With our strange, mystifying, ‘Ed’ powers.
