Living at a small zoo in Wichita

Two years ago, he decided to escape

Ever since, he’s been wanted by the law

She was living down in old Mexico

Until Hurricane Rita came roaring in

So she headed north to the state of Texas

And their eyes met there that day in the wind

They have been together now ever since that fateful day

For the past two years, they’ve never left each other’s side

He’s a Pink Flamingo, and she’s a Rosy Red Wild Caribbean

And these days, how he loves gazing upon her with adoring pride

They were just spotted together again in a channel in Louisiana

The Zoo officials have decided to let this flamingo fugitive remain free

I think it’s marvelous when two soul mates can somehow find each other

And I wish them a happy life together, filled with love’s wondrous ecstasy
