“In Wilderness,
I Sense The Miracle of Life.
And Behind It,
Our Scientific Accomplishments,
Fade To Trivia.”
Charles A. Lindbergh,
Life
Penned from the heart and soul of a nature lover
I, too, sense this miracle of life in everything wild
We were given such a truly splendid natural world
And I hope to inspire at least one nature loving child
From my many life-long studies, and from my many travels
I now very sadly believe that our once vibrant world is dying
And our home planet now truly needs many young new admirers
With the will, the determination, and the energy, to keep on trying
Sadly, far too many modern day adults don’t seem to care anymore
And a new generation of nature loving human beings must be found
Old nature lovers like myself, don’t seem to have much of an impact
And like America’s valiant old vets, soon most of us won’t be around
Most of today’s politicians are aligned with profit driven corporations
Our leaders will surely not be the ones endeavoring to save our planet
And the callous willingness of the average citizen to simply ‘go along’
I very sadly and truly believe, most of our leaders now take for granted
As the world’s human population very quickly skyrockets to over 9 Billion
And our never ending urban sprawl, and our air and water pollution escalate
Tragically, there will soon be far less wilderness and wondrous wild creatures
I weep for Mother Earth these days; and for help, She has no time left to wait
I sadly believe that our generation has failed miserably as Earth’s caretakers
Despite thousands of petitions from ‘Save The Forest’ to “Stop Killing Seals’
Saving this planet now, will take a truly dedicated generation of Champions
A young generation, filled with ardent love for Her, and with passionate zeal
From My New Book’s Signature Poem:
Far too many today in our modern, hustle and bustle, world
Have sadly lost our connection with Earth’s life-giving things
In the last 200 years, we have destroyed half of Earth’s wetlands
This modern day fact, a deep sadness to my heart and soul brings
Today’s modern children somehow have to re-connect with Earth
Or within the next fifty years, our planet’s vital wetlands will be gone
Please teach your children about the vital, life-giving, wonders of nature
Take them to a wetland; let them truly listen, to a redwing’s ancient song

All of this protects our Earth, and thus our sacred creatures and flora.

Tend to disagree with FELIX tho - like the War on Drugs, RE-CYCLING is another sad joke! It was a 'fad' for awhile, but no national effort has resulted. My local area, Baltimore, does NOTHING anymore - ergo, individuals no longer SORT, SEPARATE, and are not about to take time to DELIVER stuff to recycling 'stations.'
MAN = GARBAGE = WASTE = POLLUTION = OVER-POPULATION = DEATH & DESTRUCTION.
DEPLORABLE - BUT TRUE !!! Peace, tom. P.S. GREAT LUCK w/ BOOK!
