- Been Off Enjoying Nature For a Few Days -

“Morning glory is the best name,

It always refreshes me to see it.”

Whenever this modern day life gets me down

I escape to the vast expanses of the wilderness

And I so eagerly arise before the crack of dawn

To watch a daily occurrence I don’t want to miss

I anxiously get dressed in the darkness

Preparing for the first miracle of the day

Then I soon eagerly head off on horseback

To the nearest vantage point without delay

Here I now sit in silent anticipation

Of yet another glorious new sunrise

Eagerly wondering what new visions

Will soon appear before my very eyes

And I don’t remember ever being disappointed

As I perch extremely still silently facing due east

Because I know that I will very soon be rewarded

With an event that will be a most eye appealing feast

As the first new sunlight peeks over the vast horizon

The endless sky quickly takes on a brilliant orange hue

And the wildwood air is again fresh and clean and sweet

As the magnificent life cycle here once again begins anew

I have never found anything quite as soul soothing

As watching a brand new dawn atop a trusty equine

It’s as if time has suddenly come to a complete halt

And this wondrous recurring event is all his and mine

This is also my favorite time of the day to give my humble thanks

For the natural splendor the Creator has placed here on this earth

After joyously taking it all in once more for a very long leisurely time

We eagerly take off starting another glorious new day filled with mirth

And as we ride off through the vast uninhabited hills lakes and forests

Enjoying truly grand vistas and extremely panoramic views of the sky

Throughout the rest of our extremely refreshing peaceful day’s sojourn

I always retain that first image of yet another magnificent orange sunrise

You should try, just once, on the beach of Shizuoka (Japan) to see a sunrise with Rebecca at your side, then, together, you two will understand why Japan is called the Land of the Rising Sun.

Absolutely beautiful Ed, I remember when we would take the children camping and we would sit outside with our morning coffee as we watched the beauty of the sunrise. Stunning. Thank you for sharing.

Nothing better for you for sure than an early rising. Coffee, donuts, pancacakes, eggs a huge country breakfast, fruit included too. Facing the day to view nature and to be reminder of who created this glorious sunrise is a sure way to start your day happier. Thanks for the glorious decriptive write. Makes me there with you too to enjoy it.
