Mr. Fee Somehow Forgot To Mention,

This Part of Our Epic Canadian Saga,

In His Poem - American Cousins in Nova Scotia.

Eleventh in the ‘Ed’ Series,

‘When We Ancient Eds Were-’

My ‘Ed’ Photo Albums Go Back a Long Ways,

And a Humorous Memory, They Sometimes Stir

“I Hereby, Right Now, Christen Thee, The Ancient Ed!”

Captain Edvard was real happy, as we three went to bed

At dawn, we sailed from Prince Edward Island

With great exuberance, on that Nova Scotia coast

We three Eds knew that by the time the sun had set

A record catch, our old Ancient Ed boat would boast

Our very good friend, Mr. Fee, had found us a real classic

He said she was sturdy, sea worthy, and so tried and true

Little did we know she also had a big old hole in her belly

Rememberin this Ed fishin tale, always makes us a little blue

We three brother Eds hadn’t gotten very far at all from the coastline

When Jersey yelled, “Uh, brothers, I think something is wrong.”

“Oh, quit complaining! You haven’t got yer salty old sea legs yet.”

Edvard joyously said, “Let’s sing real loud, an old classic song!”

As the three of us now burst into the classic old tune, Fun, Fun, Fun

The sturdy old Ancient Ed quickly started listing severely to her side

And, alas, very quickly, the three of us were now floatin in the water

And I, old Pee Wee Ed, started laughin, I just could not keep it inside

“This is no longer fun, fun, fun at all…” quickly yelled Edvard and Jersey

Alas, we three Brother Eds had lasted only a few minutes, as fishers of the sea

“So just what the hell are we gonna do now?” cried Brother Jersey Ed

“Why, let’s head over to Fee’s Bath House!” unbelievably, old Edvard said

“Huh??!!”

And We Eds did have Fun, Fun, Fun,

Until our old boat had quickly sunk away;

Our Friend, Mr. Fee, snapped this picture,

From his very fancy yacht, that comical day.

And a tad later, that very same evening,

Still enjoying his fine ‘Canadian Hospitality,’

We three Eds were arrested, at his Bath House,

And deported from Canada, by that crafty Mr. Fee.

(I think he told the RCMPs,

We had littered their coastline!)

LOL A fine memory you have indeed my good friend but here's what I will do...next time you are in town I have a lovely plane I just happened to lay my hands on and being the fine and noble gentleman that I am I will let you Ed's have it for half price...I think it was built by the Wright Brothers Aero Factory. Stop by for my Friday night special and I'll throw in free life preservers with the plane.

Ya sea, I told ya so,
you should have listened to me for sure
as if you did now we would still
be out at sea fishin' for wild abacore...

That guy Fee is a liar & a thief
We wouldn't be sufferin' all this grief
If you listened to me, like you never do
We would be out to sea fishin'
Rather than sinkin' on this canadian reef...

A ,ya poor slops, had ya mopped the deck before ya went to sea, you'de seen the hole, it was a perfectly good ship, the hole was for ice fishing in the winter, I told you all that coors, would be doing you in some day, learn to drink proper beer, and you'll see things in their proper light, I'll send you some fish in the mail guys.
