America’s very last remaining herd of wild buffalo
Is once again under attack, from commercial cattlemen
They want to cut off their migration paths to their home
Even in their sanctuary, annihilation efforts, will not end
These commercial cattlemen graze their cattle on public land
Our government lets them do this, for an extremely small fee
Yet, they are quite adamant, that the last buffalo must now go
They say that sharing our public land with wildlife, is too costly
Our public lands are supposed to be owned by all Americans
They are intended to be national parks, and wildlife sanctuaries
They were not meant to be private havens, for greedy businessmen
But not nearly enough American citizens even care about monopolies
Over 1,600 of our remaining wild buffalo were slaughtered last year
The commercial cattlemen won’t be satisfied, until they are all gone
And we American citizens stand by, and do not even raise our voices
While wolves, wild horses, and wild buffalo, approach their last dawn
Since 1985, nearly 4,000 of our remaining buffalo, have been killed
Most of them along the border of our Yellowstone National Park land
And right now, our wolves and wild mustangs, are also being slaughtered
Because, these extremely sad days in America, very few bother to take a stand
And what will we one day tell our young children,
When they ask, “Whatever happened to all our buffalo?”
In our land, that has now grown so callous and uncaring,
Many will just lie to them, and say, “Gee, I really don’t know.”

Your passion for the crime animal cruelty shines through brightly. It isn't just the buffalo, but domestic animals, horses, ...as Mr. Spock said, "It is illogical to breed an animal into extinction." I know that was just a part of a movie, but true words were never spoken. Thank you for your quest for animal rights.
