I got a phone call from Ma
She’s as devilish as Tiger Lily
She says that she can’t help herself
She’s enjoying driving old Edvard silly
She says that Edvard now dotes over her
For just about all the live-long Swedish day
She knows that he’s the one making meatballs
All the Queen of the Night wants to do, is play
He spends the nights with her, in his old dungeons
Then he rushes up at dawn, to prepare Ma breakfast
Then he cleans Ma’s room, and makes more meatballs
And she howled, wondering how long old Edvard can last
“Sonny, how long before my breakfast is ready?
I hope you’ve made my poached eggs, just right;
And no more orange juice, give me some prunes,
I think I’ve been constipated now, for several nights.”
“Yes, Ma…”
“And you really look worn out, Sonny,
You really need to get more sleep at night;
By the way, you promised me a tour of Sweden,
Make sure the carriage will be ready, at first light!”
“Yes, Ma…”
“And Edvard, when are you making,
My very favorite dish – Buzzard Stew!”
“For that Ma, you’re gonna have to wait,
Tiger Lily Ed, will prepare that for you.”
“Oh, all right…”
I got a phone call from Ma,
She’s as devilish as Tiger Lily;
She says that she can’t help herself,
She’s enjoying driving old Edvard silly.
And some think that the Ed Brothers,
Are the mischief makers in our family;
I bet that she’s also been calling my sister,
Laughing up a storm, with Trickster Tiger Lily.
