The animal cruelty stories continue
Each one, now worse than the last
I am now starting, to sadly believe
Compassion, is a thing of the past
This dog was severely beaten with a pipe
Deep, massive wounds about her head
Then, she was wrapped in a newspaper
Tossed into the trash, and left for dead
A garbage man, on his assigned city route
Had grown accustomed to murdered pets
But, when he very sadly found this latest
He heard a whimper; she wasn’t dead yet
So, he decided to take her to an animal shelter
Where they very quickly, had to remove her eye
Twenty-two of her broken teeth had to be extracted
This severely battered soul, made everyone there cry
De De - the discarded, one eyed, toothless, Dachshund
Has now been adopted, by one of those who provided care
She sees more and more of this horrendous cruelty, every day
And she sadly knows, there are many more like De De, out there
The animal cruelty stories continue,
Each one, now worse than the last;
I’m now starting, to very sadly believe,
Human Compassion, is part of our past.

It must have choked you to write this piece Ed, but it needs to be shown, so well done. I hope the wee dogs okay. I'll send Mad Sparky out in the next post, he'll sort him.
And as for Lews cat. I'd have taken him out for a ride all right. If he lived over here in Belfast, he would have plastic knee caps, and a steel plate in his nut.

A million times a day this happens Ed, can you imagine, and then someone even dares to critisize PETA, for they migth have inconvienienced some all too important human. I always say, anyone that can mistread an innocent animal, can just as readily mistreat one of us, we need to show them that they are wrong, of course not using methods of theirs, but love, this is one of the hardest things I find, after seeing this, and all the others.
