For All The Dogs Trying To Cool Off in My Pool

The Dog Days are Now Here Again
And, Cruelty is Perpetrated by Man
Do Not Leave your Dog in Your Car
It’s as Hot as an Oven or a Frying Pan
We never do our best friends any favors
By leaving them, for ‘only a few seconds’
Those seconds can quickly turn into minutes
And, in only a few minutes, they can be dead
Each and Every Year, during these Hellish Dog Days
I come across canines left inside someone’s broiling car
And, when I chastise their owners for leaving them there
Almost all of them, always say, “Oh, I didn’t go very far.”
It really doesn’t matter how close, or how far, you may be
Every year, during the Dog Days, too many canines perish
Despite all of the warnings, people still leave them in cars
Please don’t be as cruel, to these friends, we should cherish
When it’s 85 Degrees Outside,
A Car’s Interior May Reach 135

I keep a thermometer in the vent on my dashboard. While driving, the A/C puts out 40 degrees! BUT - after making a quick delivery of only 5-8 minutes - that sucker CLIMBS to 120 Degrees - WITH driver's window OPEN about 3 inches AND Sun-Roof OPEN also about 3 inches!
People who leave pets in cars like that are simply ... ASSHOLES!
Police should put THEM inside car and force to sit 10 minutes! AND ...
write Ticket for at least $100.00 !!! Tom.
