Music: Angels We Have Heard On High
One of our saddest rescues of the year
Found battered and beaten, on the street
He was so weak, so emaciated, so very sick
This poor guy, couldn’t stand, on his own feet
Our little rescue group could not take him to a shelter
Because we knew that they would quickly put him down
So we did what we’ve been doing for all these left behinds
We rushed him to a compassionate veterinarian across town
It took several months for extremely ill Theo to regain his strength
And once he did, he quickly blossomed into an extremely happy boy
But despite all of our combined efforts, we couldn’t find him a home
And now, the Holidays were approaching, his plight robbing us of joy
We put together Theo Flyers, we contacted nearly everyone that we knew
We posted a newspaper story about his desire to be Home for the Holidays
Miraculously, a compassionate woman, Theo’s Christmas Angel, appeared
And this once nearly dead canine, is finally, in his loving new home, Today
