I’ll Be Remembering Our Travels For Awhile
Good Old Greenie, Carried Me To Over A Hundred
Veteran Hospitals, From New York to San Francisco
And, When Hurricane Katrina Struck the Gulf Coast
In Valiant Old Greenie, Four Times There, I Did Go
Good Old Greenie, Hauled In Needed Pet Rescue Supplies
He Doggedly Rescued Dogs and Cats, Each and Every Day
And, On Every Trip Home From The Devastated Gulf Coast
He Transported Pets To Their New Homes, So Very Joyously
My Good Old Greenie, Was Also Always Welcomed Out In Utah
He Transported Many Adopted Pets From Best Friends To Illinois
Good Old Greenie, Relished Those Numerous Pet Transport Duties
He Really Loved It, When We Brought A Pet To A Young Girl Or Boy
Good Old Greenie, Also Happily Transported My Spouse And I
To Many A Majestic Mountaintop, From Canada to New Mexico
With Greenie, We Very Joyously Visited The Vast Navajo Nation
He Even Transported Our Native American Canine Turbo, Home
Good Old Greenie, Was Also My Fishing Partner For Many Years
He Never Shirked His Duty, Hauling My Boat, To The Northwood
When My Dogs and I Didn’t Sleep In A Tent, We Slept In Greenie
All Of My Greenie Northwood Memories, Are So Fantastically Good
And, Right Here In The Midwest, On Our Current Canine Rescue Missions
Good Old Greenie, Had The Inside Height, To Haul Humongous Dog Traps
I Couldn’t Even Fit These Traps and Their Precious Cargos In Other Vehicles
And All Of My Rescue Dogs Love Riding Around In Him, No Doubt About That
I Recently Decided To Donate Greenie, To Vietnam Veterans of America
They Say He Will Be Most Welcome, In Their Vehicle Donation Program
Now, I Have To Muster Enough Courage To Let My Good Old Greenie Go
It Is Always Difficult To Lose A Good Friend – Missing Him, I Already Am
He Has Truly Been A Valiant Work Horse,
