Drunken hands flick brush strokes
dabs of water and paint on floor canvas
in black, red, yellow and gray.
Wind at his back
blows dust clouds from pile of sand
particles rush like wasp to a hive
clay hardens small sculptures on paper
rising like topography on a map.
Mural hangs on wall to dry
runny paint stains add
to three dimensional form.
A little poem inspired by Jackson Pollock as if he had painted in a sandstorm.
If you tend to believe romantic, passionate, masculine poetry is a thing of past eras, read "She Intrigues Me," and be swept away in the beautiful craft of a contemporary poet of love.
