Warm, Brown Bread

You are as good as warm, brown bread. And you expect to find the same But others come from different flour, Cynics hardened by the flame. Don't let the oven fires burn Your goodness into jaded coal. Stay innocent and freshly sweet, And God preserve your simple soul.
