Anything life had to offer him,

he had.

Any boy would have been proud

to call this man "Dad".

But, there was no son to go fishing with

or even bear his name.

No hopes of a son of his to

enter the Sports World Hall of Fame.

No one to share a "cool one" with

when a hard day was through ...

Or, a son seeking advice on what

a real man should say or do.

No one to ask to use the car

for a date he had that night.

A son to give advice to

when he finds himself in a fight.

Life could have been only second best

for the man without a son.

Except to his daughters, he's someone

special and will always be their Number One!
