The black winds of unreasoning has dulled mans soul
As he ponders his destruction, that wisdom has foretold.
He, in his predestined ignorance, sets forth to challenge God,
Only to discover a mere foretaste of chastens rod.
He has filled his life with things so grand, with total disregard to God’s plan.
He has lived for self and nothing else, he was the king of his world…he was the man.
Yet, the black winds of life that have laid so low, have quickly begin to blow,
and even with his temporal riches and fame, he now feels a hollow place in his soul.
He soon begins to realize, that he is not so smart, and definitely not too wise.
It is then, that he cries out to the God he has denied, he peers pleadingly toward the sky.
He cries out again and again, but he hears nothing except the blowing black wind.
With a fear that now overwhelms, he clutches his chest and falls silently to the ground,
And with his final breath, he whispers his last unheard words,
that “it all was in vain, his life, his riches and his wealth.”
"For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world,
and loose his own soul"? "Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul"?
