I Am You, And You Are Me

I am the wind
that whispers
to you in the night,
I am the golden beam
that entreats you
on morning’s light.
For I am you
and you are me
and we, as one
will always be.
So listen well
to thy inner self,
and unlock the door
to your heart
which you have
hid so well.
So come now
unto me,
and feel
the beauty
of being free.
Touch me
hold me,
and devour
my soul.
For soon
I shall
whisper
a silent tune.
So tell me now,
Can you feel me?
For I just gently
brushed your cheek.
And I tasted your spirit
As you opened
your mouth to speak
So unbutton now
Those darkened eyes
And look into
the morning sky
For it is there
That you will see,
That I am you
And you are me,
And together
On a rising sun,
We will sail away
to our brighter day.
For I am you
and you are me.
Together forever,
for all eternity.
