Shadowy are the dreams of man
when held to the fiery light of eternity.
For little is there to be desired, or laid to plan
when death embraces us with its certainty.
So I shall dream on, but in a limited scope,
Less I succumb to the disappointment of lost dreams and muted hope.
Instead of wealth,
I will be pleased with health,
Instead of a perfect life,
I will expect, and learn from strife.
For there is nothing else that I can see,
That could further encourage me.
So therefore, in sadness I shall not roam,
For I will achieve what I truly need,
In search of my simple peace.
And that will only be,
when I am able call heaven my home.

Isn't it wonderful to know where our true home is
and to accept whatever comes before we get there!;-)
You are a brave man!
When we go to Heaven, no more war's or tear's or sickness or death.
Outstanding write!
