Of this child, that has no name,
I have but a few thoughts in which to proclaim.
I sit here and wonder… what if he only knew,
what this life would take from him in dues.
I wonder what he would say,
If he could choose whether to leave or stay,
Would he leave if he could, or would he simply choose to go.
Oh yes, I wonder… if he only knew,
That this life he will face, will at best be cruel.
For into this world of evil he was born,
A world of hate, a world of war,
a world where darkness, and not light is the norm.
Oh yes, I wonder… if he only knew,
I wonder if a choice he had, what would he do?
Would he look back into the heavens from whence he came?
And ask for deliverance in his Father’s Holy name.
Yet even still I wonder what the Fathers reply would be.
Would he merely say to him, “son, I know of this world, and it is cruel,
And more often than not, man does his best to portray the fool.”
Or would he say, “but listen to me my little one,
For all I can ask is that, you believe in me, and my only begotten son.
because I am your Father which art in heaven, and He And I are one.
And together we will keep you at peace and give your weary heart rest.
Yet still….I wonder.

Really enjoyed this as now I got more to ponder here about the choice if xi knew what was in front me.
Thank you
Tommy
I thank you for asking the question and I especially enjoy thinking....and this definitely allows the reader to do that.
