For there are rolling hills and grassy plains, and mountains that kiss the sky.

There are forests deep and green, and savannahs that meet the seas, that know no end.

The shear splendor of it all boggles this finite mind, for its magnificence overwhelms this mortal eye.

For I know not, what to say,

As to what made me feel this way.

could it be the rains of today that fell through the trees?

or the sounds of frogs, and the hum of bees.

Could it have been that I was simply tuned in to such,

Or was it that God knew my frame of mind

and thought that I needed a gentle touch.

Though I know not for sure

as to why I saw the world today in all its grandeur

but I prefer to think that God was there

and in His love, he showed me that he cared.

For He opened my eyes to all His splendor that abounds,

And kissed my weary heart with His creations sights and sounds.

For He so lifted me from despair this very day,

And showed me His glory in a very special way.

For I am now so happy that, I could literally sing,

And singing I am, with a joy overflowing even the gentle rains silver sheen.

So join me on this night,

and forget all grief and plight.

“For this is the day, this is the day, that the Lord hath made;

lets us rejoice, let us rejoice, and be glad in it,

for this is the day that the Lord hath made”
