The Final Solution

by J. Allen Wilson — Read all 1,629 poems by J. Allen Wilson

Inspired by an incident at work, in which one of my operators passed out from the excessive heat in my place of employment. I had a great deal of difficulty reviving him
And a solid fear gripped me during this ordeal. I am happy to say that I was able to revive him and that he is doing well, but for a very brief moment, it was as if the hand of death broke the dimensional barrier that separates us from the spirit world and ever so gently brushed his cheek.

The Final Solution

His hand in form of vision did appear,

chastising my mind, and forging my heart in fear.

Oh, dark...cold and morose are his forbidding ways,

As he in dark spirit roams, seeking souls to claim.

Oh whispers of death,

With fading souls last breath,

For grieving, are the stones of this weight,

As he in timely manner, provides entrance into silence’s gate.

So hinder not his hand through dimensions gain,

For it is but a cycle of life, that releases this pain.

For through the touch of his darkness,

we in the multitudes of somber conclusion,

Finally realize that death and his essence, holds life’s final solution.

Allen a terrible experience, but a happy outcome for
The person that survived! This shows why we must be ever
ready for when that final solution comes our way!
Superb write on the event Allen!I know you are ready
but the circumstances you faced involved another,
and that changes the scenario!

Allen, I've not a doubt about the theory of your write. This employee was lucky you were there, and I'm sure he is more than grateful you were.
Ofcourse we both understand and hopefully he does too, that if it had of been God's will for him to go, nothing you could have done would have brought him back from the inevitable.

Awesome write Allen.

Remarkably well written.

Death is not final, only a step into new light.
I am glad things turned out well though.

Warm hugs

The death of a frame Allen...and the resurgence of a spirit...at that moment of divine release , we will soar with the wings of a condor beyond the rainbow of pain and disillusionment of reality !!

excellent poetic pondering of death's embrace ... but is it really final of just a new beginning?
