Desperations Snare
So many that cry,
And not enough to care,
Too many to save,
from desperations snare.
For they are…….
The children of sorrow,
without any hope
Looking for a quick fix,
To just help them cope.
With alleys and bars,
Ten bucks and parked cars,
And secrets forbidden,
They are like open books with nothing hidden.
As they prowl the streets fast and quick,
Looking to score, finding a trick.
Then they retreat, they run and they hide
never really escaping the child inside.
For there are so many who cry
And not enough to care,
Too many to save,
From desperations snare.
