Never Ever Me
What if I never were,
and if into your life I never came your way
Where oh where, would you be today?
For there would not be… a you and a me,
Never even that first loves kiss,
On that moonlit walk in our youthful bliss.
Never was and never will,
Since I never had a name.
Would you without me be so happy?
Or would you lie in another's arms
Harboring a grievous pain.
What would life be,
If there never were a me.
For whom have I touched,
That to know me
would to them mean so much?
For I am but a minion
Amidst a galaxy of somebody's.
I am a nobody in search of truth
A peon in life without a clue.
I ponder this with remiss,
As I stare into the whiteness of nothing.
Yet even in this…more questions I ask…..
For….
Would the man, who lives down the street,
Be the same if he and I never did meet?
How about my Mom or Dad,
Would she still be living,
Would they both be happy,
Or would they not even be
In this world so sad.
With so many questions
That lay upon this mind,
It is no wonder
That I beg for more time.
Yet even time would not be…
If there were never ever a me.
