Oh The Simplicity Of Complexity

The simplicity of complexity

confounds the stricken soul

stuck between the lines.

Thus lifting up hidden forces

from within the shattered mind.

Bequeathing to lives that fail to live,

as saddened hearts that cease to beat.

Forging dogmas in forgotten words,

Laying waste to the children of darkness

with death their only gift to give.

For lisping spirits glide softly in the night,

With utterance of voice

stolen from the ever fading light.

Oh the simplicity of complexity

lost now in the blackness of the shattered mind.

Lost to all, in the essence

of an ambiguous time.

profound philosophical depth ... the simple complexity of darkness shatters the minds of those lost in ambiguity ...

Man, Al, thats a heavy one, not necessarily weighty, but heavy on my mind and the picture itself does a great deal to show, at least in my opinion, a dark profound mood...Ed & rufuz

Agree with everything that Lisa said below Allen...it is our reactions to circumstances and events that determine our lives and futures...once we learn to react with measured assuredness and faith in God...to every situation...then we are victorious in Christ.!!!

Allen, that photo alone would have been considered poetry. Then you added the words that just astounded the mind.
Most things in life are simple, it's our reaction to the action that complexes the situations.
Another good write Allen! but then? They always are!

J. Allen it truly is a dichotomy...There is anguish
in hidden depths, of all ambiguities...I love your work
that always stirs the senses! Blessings to you...

i'm going to have to stop reading your poems in the middle of the night... they are so deep! well-composed write that covers a lot of ground. you could turn it around, too, don't you think - oh, the complexity of simplicity? enjoyed much,
