Blind Dancing Ravens That Sing

You cry a solitaire tear,

Yet, you in your silence

do not fear.

Even as forces unseen,

Come in dark of night

to ravage your tender dreams.

Your hands of hope still to escaping air cling.

Whilst shadows of days grow

And blind dancing ravens sing.

For your courage is vast,

And your heart supreme,

Our lives forged in love,

Amidst growing shadows

And blind dancing ravens that sing.

I love the title of this poem. It drew me in--the poem kept me reading, more than once. Wonderful write here. Nicely done with a flow of ease.

Allen,
This reads as easily as the flow of that single tear. Breathtaking Allen.

Allen, I must agree with Dawn, and I’ll also add this, my friend. This well-crafted piece held me in place throughout! An exceptional well-penned quixotic creation. Thank you for sharing it. Take care and be well.

P.S. If I may also add. I wonder if you could shorten the distance between the end of the poem, to where it meets the top of the review box? It took an extra five minutes to scroll down to reach it… lol. Have an easy day, my friend.

the single, focused image of the title / last line is incredible, Allen, as is this whole poem. Dawn
