Beneath Obscurities Dark Tide:
It is not as simple as it so seems,
To capture but a morsel of yesterdays
desires, from our fleeting dreams.
For the wheels of time still
turn and turn
much to our dismay.
Yet, to think, to taste, to once more try
To grasp but a small slice of youth's splendor
to be able to once again run with the wind and fly.
To cherish all thoughts living
To have all dreams, which remain, still alive and giving…
and lastly to relinquish once and for all
the required requiem of the dead.
For today has seen the coming of obscurities dark tide.
Whereas in these circumstances of body and mind
Give testament to natures sad folly… time.
Thus, in this we continue on…
prolonging unto our downward slide.
For laughing children, we are no more,
leaving to our vanity the widening door.
Slipping in steps across life's masquerade,
dancing to lonely drums in the final promenade.
Yeah, again it is not as simple as it seems.
For just this once,
This day,
I desire but a taste
Just a bit…
Just to savor before
All forces external
Come against my hope eternal
To bury me still
And unmoving
Beneath obscurities dark tide.
