Walk With Me
Walk beside me this day,
While we still have this chance.
Hold me close; love me easy I pray,
That we may enjoy our life's dance.
For tomorrow is a dream which may never come
And today may be all that we…. Shall ever get.
For our time is that of surrealist dancers
Waltzing on, oh waltzing on to the tune of the setting sun.
So, walk with me if you will,
stand very close by my side
And drink heartily of my love, …drink… oh drink your fill.
For we have played of life and had of its very best,
We have reached for and held the very stars of the night sky in our hands.
We have scaled the rugged mountains of many regret
and have climbed against the terrain of adversity
alas though, we have almost reached the summits crest.
So walk beside me this day, walk with me if you will,
For the band has almost stopped playing
And this spring…this spring for some reason
has given over to an autumns chill.
WALK WITH ME I PRAY.

No matter how hard the climb may be, as long as we have a hand to hold to, and a heart to share, we will make it to the top!
Beautiful poetry.
