The Slumbering Golden Sea
Your soft smile kissed my weary mind,
As I in distress, sought comfort, in the shortness of our time.
For our days are filled with the mundane duties of a complicated life,
Leaving little, so very little time, if any away from our daily strife.
For I do what I have to do, to make sure our ends do meet,
However, the time that is taken causes my soul so much grief.
It is my desire for us to be free,
to by chance or choice, to frolic by the slumbering golden sea,
Ah but to laugh, to dance, and make love for all eternity.
For that my love…is what I truly need.
So bare with me if you see a poor saddened look upon my face,
For I… for we…are just prisoners bound by the chains of this human race.
Therefore, this to you I must say,
take comfort and know that I will forge the way.
And that someday…oh sweet someday…
will find us in our paradise,
by the slumbering golden sea.

And I and Leah both know this is a promise you will not break to her.
You are a Genuinely Loving Man. We need more just like you in this world.

A beautiful soul yearning poem Allen. That pic gave
me the chills, though very artistic;-)
