Oh What A Joke

OH WHAT A JOKE!

Oh, what a joke this has turned out to be,

as you in your folly made the inane attempt  to deceive.

For to you…. and this without discretion I must say…

I was not raised in ignorance to your illusory ways.

As it is you, yes to you old foolish one,

that I in my hearts somber regret, most truly detest.

For your eyes, betray many, like those of the serpents call,

And the mere odor of your foul presence, overcomes us all.

You…oh you are a dragon, born of the darkest and most vile of pits.

Whereas it has come to pass, that the simple sight of you gives one over to fits.

For with the sound of your voice, which still rings obnoxiously in my head,

I cringe, I recoil, and make wishes that go against my nature

and are truly, oh most truly… best left unsaid.

So try not again your rudimentary ways on me,

For I will not fall for your deception,

nor of one word you say, shall I believe.

So goodnight, to you, for I must somehow let this pass,

For if I did not…then I might have to………….

I'm glad you can denounce demons and get away from them Allen!
You take us into the abyss, and I wonder at the danger that exists there. I'm glad we know whose name makes it disappear.;-)
Dark chilling write!

Interesting message though for the life of me, I cannot ascertain its meaning...but better sometimes not to have any meaning, keeps "them" whoever "they" are thinking...;) Ed (of course I just awoke and my brain synapses (SP?) are not firing in order yet...LOL)

This is very demonic like in the way you are on the verge of becomign seemingly what you are fighting at the end yet your character or the poems character finds the strength to walk away to fight another day so to speak. Excellent gothic blend of words and images here my friend.
