Moon Glow
I watched as the moon impaled you
Giving forth unto you a despairing expression.
An expression, which, lay waste with the dark acid of silver.
An idiom, an ode to that of a fast and dying season.
I cried as your eyes fell trace
to the trembling bleeding ground
Ever so watching to the silent wonder
Ever so somber to my presence unknown.
Never, not once did you know,
That it was I, and not you
That the darkness had found.
For clouds of this sorrow, now resonate
across the hallowed moon's dark trail.
As I the walker of your shadows
Shall always be at your side and never fail.
For I am now in full moon's glow
and forevermore within your heart and mind.

A truly captivating write, J. Allen.

Excellent subtle weaving of words into
the rhythm of the moon and the cast shadow!
Superb poem!
