You Love Me Still

 How can you still love me this day?

As you stand, your faithful watch over me.

Oh, how can you still love me I say?

When I am no longer to you what I used to be.

For the ravages of time have taken their toil,

As I in the frailty of a silent malaise

Slowly and knowingly began to lose my hold.

Yet, you love me still!

Yet shadows approach, when there should be none,

When my silent darkness consumes the sun…

You love me still.

So unto you this day, 

I ask forgiveness of my way.

I beseech of you,

To always

Love me still.
