I write, I paint, I dream, I cry…

I write, I paint, I dream, I cry…

My goals in life are simple goals,

for I have many words and dreams in which to share.
My medium varies from time to time,

but more often than not, it is lain forth in verse and rhyme.

Therefore, when time permits, which is really and truly rare,

I will take a brush and pen to a white cotton canvas,

and transpose my thoughts onto this empty, lifeless panel.

My objective is to paint not of what I see, but what I feel.

However, though it is through the written word

That my dreams of dreams become real.

For I in my humble attempt, desire not just to be heard,

But to allow others a slivers glimpse of my open heart,

Which spills forth in crystal torrents from my written word.

Therefore and hence I stand, in the midst of a huge and vast land,

I cry aloud from above, I dream beyond the most distant cloud.

I only seek desperately to share my words,

in vain attempt to fulfill my hearts vow.

Yet time is as dreams are…short and always incomplete,

for I continue on in my quandary…I spill out from secrets sleep,

I write, I paint, I dream, I cry…

Yet I never really finish

For then its time

 to say goodbye.

As always your expression on paper mimicks what you say on canvas and though we do not see your works of paint often, we know you have such ability in both the write and the paint...Ed

Wonderful write about art and artists! The poets write how he/she feels in their honesty. The artists also paint how he/she feels about the world around them. That is why poetry and art will never die in this world.
