My gypsy soul longs to run wild and free through the fields
Of taller than me giant sunflowers.
To hide my restrictions and inhibitions amongst those
Bountiful leaves that reach to cover all my restraints.
To hide in the shadows of their images all that would
Hold me in bondage.
To lay down under their covering those ropes and chains that
Tug ferociously against my nature.
And once done, I can again dance the dance of the gypsys,
And sing merrily as I shake my tambourine.
In the full moon's sparkling and magical light,
The drum beat of my heart pounds a mystical, hypnotic cadence
As I succumb to the allure and intrigue that has fervently seduced me
As I find myself stopping, then running through the sunflower fields.
Singing: "dance little gypsy girl, dance for me. Dance little gypsy girl, wild and free."
